Jack Turner

My name is Jack Turner and I’m a political and policy advisor. In addition to my professional life I write about how to manage in the complex and fast-changing labour market we find ourselves in today.

I initially became interested in the topic following a substantial career upheaval. I believed I had done everything right. Paying my way through business school, getting an MBA, and landing a job at a major corporation. But after a few years I realised my career was going no-where, and I’d given responsibility for my future over to someone else.

Having just gotten married, I had to re-start my career at 30.

I now write to explore how people develop satisfying and meaningful careers, how to best navigate changing labour markets, and how to better manage oneself along the way.

Most people subscribe to my work via email. I’d like to invite you to sign up, giving you instant access to articles as soon as I publish them. Alternatively, I regularly write for medium, and my wife and I co-host the popular podcast, career of you. Or you can read a selection of my most popular articles on our blog.

I look forward to chatting.

Jack
